1 YEAR ELECTRIC FIRE WARRANTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be Modern Ltd (the \u2018Company\u2019) provides a one year warranty in respect of the electric fire appliance. Please consult your model instructions for further details regarding warranties and extended warranties if applicable to your chosen model.<\/p>\n

1. The one year warranty applies to:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 All \u2018Products\u2019 in the ranges manufactured by the \u2018Company\u2019 (but subject to exceptions
\nbelow); where
\n\u2022 The \u2018Product\u2019 has been purchased and installed within the UK and in respect of: –
\n\u2022 The initial installation and in favour of
\n\u2022 The original Purchaser<\/p>\n

2. Proof of purchase must be retained by the Purchaser<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. The one year warranty does not apply to:<\/strong>
\n\u2022 Damage or inferior workmanship practices while the \u2018Product\u2019 is being installed
\n\u2022 Damage caused by the mis use of the \u2018Product\u2019 or where normal standards of care and use have not been complied with
\n\u2022 Damage through a malfunction or an inadequately installed electric fire
\n\u2022 Damage or defects due to, misuse, accident or unauthorised alterations
\n\u2022 During the twelve months after the \u2018Product\u2019 has been supplied, the warranty covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the company\u2019s discretion) of defects arising from defective manufacture of materials of \u2018Product\u2019 covered in paragraph (1), all at no cost to the Purchaser.<\/p>\n

This Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On requiring service contact the retailer who supplied your product who will assist you and advise you, as necessary.<\/p>\n

3 YEAR EXTENDED ELECTRIC FIRE WARRANTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be Modern Ltd (the \u2018Company\u2019). Selected PRYZM electric fires that are offered with a 3 year extended warranty provide you with reassurance and peace of mind. The 2 years extended warranty is obtained by registering your product free, within 28 days of purchase at: www.bemodern.co.uk\/elgin-and-hall\/support\/warranty\/<\/a><\/p>\n

After registration you will receive cover for parts only in year 2 & 3.<\/p>\n

Note: Registration is not required for the standard 1 year warranty. If you do not have access to the internet, you may register your product via the below contact telephone number.

1. The Warranty applies to<\/strong>
\na. Selected PRYZM products in the selected ranges manufactured by the \u2018Company\u2019 (but subject to the exceptions below). For more details on which electric fires are offered with a 3 year extended warranty, please consult your retailer or the product instructions in question:<\/p>\n

2. Proof of Purchase must be retained by the Purchaser<\/strong><\/p>\n

3. The Warranty does not apply to

4. During the warranty period after the \u201cProduct\u201d has been supplied, the warranty covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the Company\u2019s option) of defects arising from defective manufacture of materials of \u201cProduct\u201d covered in Para 1 all at no cost to the purchaser on the provision:<\/strong><\/p>\n

a. The Product has been installed as per Be Modern recommendations. The Purchaser uninstalls the Product and makes it available for collection by Be Modern. This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights. On requiring service the purchaser should contact the retailer who supplied your product who will assist and advise you as necessary.<\/p>\n

5 YEAR EXTENDED GAS FIRE WARRANTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

Be Modern Ltd warrants this product against manufacturing defects which affect the performance of the product. This warranty is non transferable and is valid from the date of purchase or the product. It is important that you retain the receipt of purchase or invoice as proof of date of purchase. This extended warranty excludes any refractory ceramics (i.e. fuel pieces or ceramic lining), batteries, bulbs or consumable items within the appliance. This warranty does not cover replacement glass panels which have been stained due to running an appliance where flame has contacted the glass caused by poor ceramic setup. This warranty provides for parts and labour to repair or replace (at the discretion of Be Modern Ltd) any faulty component(s) for the first year from the date of purchase. This warranty provides for parts to repair or replace (at the discretion of Be Modern Ltd) any faulty component(s) for the 2nd<\/sup>, 3rd<\/sup>, 4th <\/sup>and 5th<\/sup> years from the date of purchase.<\/p>\n

Terms and Conditions.<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. This appliance must be installed by a GAS SAFE registered installer and in accordance with the instructions supplied with the product.<\/li>\n
  2. The appliance must be installed in a residential property and used in accordance with the operating instructions supplied with the product.<\/li>\n
  3. The appliance must be serviced annually by a GAS SAFE registered engineer. Proof of this may be requested.<\/li>\n
  4. The registration form below must have been completed and returned to Be Modern Ltd within 28 days of original purchase date.<\/li>\n
  5. This warranty is non transferrable and applies to the original installation as recorded by the GAS SAFE engineer.<\/li>\n
  6. The appliance must be maintained in a reasonable manner by ensuring that the product is kept clean and free from debris, dust, or lint. Problems arising from pilot lint \/ dust ingress are not covered by this warranty. It is the user\u2019s responsibility to ensure that ceramic components are laid correctly, any adverse effect caused by poor ceramic setup will not be covered under this warranty.<\/li>\n
  7. This is the only warranty provided by Be Modern Ltd and no other warranty or extensions to warranty however implied shall be valid.<\/li>\n
  8. Be Modern Ltd will not be held responsible for any installation, labour or transportation costs arising from a defective part or parts or any incidental, indirect or consequential damage caused, except as provided by law.<\/li>\n
  9. This warranty is void it the product<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    a: is exposed to any corrosive conditions whether direct or indirect<\/p>\n

    b: is exposed to long periods of damp or condensation<\/p>\n

      \n
    1. This warranty does not cover any replaceable items such as ceramic components, batteries, bulbs etc.<\/li>\n
    2. This warranty does not cover any polished trim surfaces where discoloration has occurred due to spillage of products.<\/li>\n
    3. The appliance must not have been subject to misuse or accident or been modified or repaired in any way by any person(s) other than an engineer authorised by Be Modern Ltd.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

       <\/p>\n

      1 YEAR SURROUND\/FIREPLACE WARRANTY<\/strong><\/p>\n

      Be Modern (\u2018the Company\u2019) provides a 1 year warranty in respect of the surround\/fireplace (\u2018the Product\u2019) ranges subject to the following terms and conditions.<\/p>\n

      In the event of service being required, the purchaser should initially contact the retailer\/installer who supplied the product and they will assist and advise you further as necessary.<\/p>\n

      1. The 1 year warranty applies to all Products in the ranges manufactured by the Company where:
      \n(i) The Product has been purchased and installed within the UK
      \n(ii) It relates to the initial installation as carried out for the original purchaser<\/p>\n

      This warranty is non-transferable<\/strong>
      \n2. Proof of Purchase must be retained by the Purchaser for the period of the Warranty.<\/p>\n

      3. A full and detailed inspection must have been carried out on all component parts by the installer and\/or the end user prior to the start of installation, to ensure there was no damage or manufacturing defects.
      \n4. The 1 year warranty does not<\/strong> apply to:
      \na. Any damages caused to the Product as a direct result of incompetent installation
      \nb. Damage caused by misuse of the Product or where normal standards of care and use have not been complied with
      \nc. Damage or defects due to misuse, accident or unauthorised alterations
      \nd. Damaged or broken component parts reported after installation
      \ne. Any other obvious defects reported after installation
      \nf. LED bulbs<\/p>\n

      5. During the 1 year period following Product purchase, the Warranty covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the Company\u2019s discretion) of the Product only for claims arising from defective manufacture and\/or materials of the \u201cProduct\u201d covered in Point 1, on the provision that:
      \na. The Product has been fully inspected prior to installation
      \nb. The Product has been installed as per Be Modern recommendations
      \nc. Our Liability is limited to the free replacement of the parts affected<\/p>\n

      IMPORTANT<\/strong>: Product only suitable for non Be Modern and Elgin & Hall gas fires up to 4kW<\/p>\n

      This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.<\/strong><\/p>\n
