What is Micro Marble Surround<\/strong><\/p>\n

A micro marble surround provides an anchor to your room providing a space to gather with family and friends. Adding personality, wellness and detail to any room. At Elgin & Hall, we specialise in designing and manufacturing surrounds right here in the UK.<\/p>\n

A micro marble surround will provide a luxury centrepiece to your space that is easy to clean, will last for many years and can be perfectly paired with your choice of fire, weather it be gas or electric. A micro marble surround is made of real marble that has been reconstituted. Ground in to a fine powder and then mixed with our high quality resin to be reformed in to a 20mm thick slab. These micro marble slabs show uniform patterns which are perfect for producing a perfect looking surround. At Elgin & Hall we utilise state of the art CNC precision machining and tools that only we can use. This makes Elgin & Hall micro marble surrounds unique to other manufacturers.<\/p>\n

What is a Timber Surround<\/strong><\/p>\n

A timber surround will usually be paired with a marble back panel and hearth and can come in a variety of finishes. This provides options for both gas & electric fires to be installed. Again, please check with your local retailer<\/a> as there may be some restrictions depending on the design of the timber surround when installing a gas fire.<\/p>\n

Your perfect size<\/strong><\/p>\n

The surround size is a very important factor. If you go too small, your room will overpower it, too large and the surround will overpower your room. Other factors will influence the size of your surround such as your chimney breast size, existing chimney opening and type of flue. Should you need to widen the chimney opening based on the fire you choose, you may need to carry out structural alterations such as adding a lintel. Elgin & Hall have a vast range of surrounds with back panel options of 16\u201d & 22\u201d wide. Surround rebates of 45mm and 75mm. Bespoke hearth options so you can always cover up an existing carpet cut out from the previous hearth. Take a look at our selection here<\/a><\/p>\n

All our micro marble surrounds are designed to withstand the heat outputs of our electric and gas fires.
