Warranty T&Cs

1 YEAR ELECTRIC FIRE WARRANTY

Be Modern Ltd (the ‘Company’) provides a one year warranty in respect of the electric fire appliance. Please consult your model instructions for further details regarding warranties and extended warranties if applicable to your chosen model.

1. The one year warranty applies to:
• All ‘Products’ in the ranges manufactured by the ‘Company’ (but subject to exceptions
below); where
• The ‘Product’ has been purchased and installed within the UK and in respect of: –
• The initial installation and in favour of
• The original Purchaser

2. Proof of purchase must be retained by the Purchaser

3. The one year warranty does not apply to:
• Damage or inferior workmanship practices while the ‘Product’ is being installed
• Damage caused by the mis use of the ‘Product’ or where normal standards of care and use have not been complied with
• Damage through a malfunction or an inadequately installed electric fire
• Damage or defects due to, misuse, accident or unauthorised alterations
• During the twelve months after the ‘Product’ has been supplied, the warranty covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the company’s discretion) of defects arising from defective manufacture of materials of ‘Product’ covered in paragraph (1), all at no cost to the Purchaser.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

On requiring service contact the retailer who supplied your product who will assist you and advise you, as necessary.


 

3 YEAR EXTENDED ELECTRIC FIRE WARRANTY

Be Modern Ltd (the ‘Company’). Selected PRYZM electric fires that are offered with a 3 year extended warranty provide you with reassurance and peace of mind. The 2 years extended warranty is obtained by registering your product free, within 28 days of purchase at: https://www.bemodern.com/pryzm/support/warranty/

After registration you will receive cover for parts only in year 2 & 3.

Note: Registration is not required for the standard 1 year warranty. If you do not have access to the internet, you may register your product via the below contact telephone number.

1. The Warranty applies to
a. Selected PRYZM products in the selected ranges manufactured by the ‘Company’ (but subject to the exceptions below). For more details on which electric fires are offered with a 3 year extended warranty, please consult your retailer or the product instructions in question:

2. Proof of Purchase must be retained by the Purchaser

3. The Warranty does not apply to

a. Damage or inferior workmanship practices whilst the ‘Product’ is being installed
b. Damage caused by misuse of the ‘Product’ or where normal standards of care and use have not been complied with.
c. Damage through a malfunction or an inadequately installed electric fire.
d. Damage or defects due to misuse, accident or unauthorised alterations

4. During the warranty period after the “Product” has been supplied, the warranty covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the Company’s option) of defects arising from defective manufacture of materials of “Product” covered in Para 1 all at no cost to the purchaser on the provision:

a. The Product has been installed as per Be Modern recommendations. The Purchaser uninstalls the Product and makes it available for collection by Be Modern. This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights. On requiring service the purchaser should contact the retailer who supplied your product who will assist and advise you as necessary.


 

1 YEAR SURROUND/FIREPLACE WARRANTY

Be Modern (‘the Company’) provides a 1 year warranty in respect of the surround/fireplace (‘the Product’) ranges subject to the following terms and conditions.

In the event of service being required, the purchaser should initially contact the retailer/installer who supplied the product and they will assist and advise you further as necessary.

1. The 1 year warranty applies to all Products in the ranges manufactured by the Company where:
(i) The Product has been purchased and installed within the UK
(ii) It relates to the initial installation as carried out for the original purchaser

This Warranty is non-transferable
2. Proof of Purchase must be retained by the Purchaser for the period of the Warranty.

3. A full and detailed inspection must have been carried out on all component parts by the installer and/or the end user prior to the start of installation, to ensure there was no damage or manufacturing defects.

4. The 1 year warranty does not apply to:
a. Any damages caused to the Product as a direct result of incompetent installation
b. Damage caused by misuse of the Product or where normal standards of care and use have not been complied with
c. Damage or defects due to misuse, accident or unauthorised alterations
d. Damaged or broken component parts reported after installation
e. Any other obvious defects reported after installation
f. LED bulbs

5. During the 1 year period following Product purchase, the Warranty covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the Company’s discretion) of the Product only for claims arising from defective manufacture and/or materials of the “Product” covered in Point 1, on the proviso that:
a. The Product has been fully inspected prior to installation
b. The Product has been installed as per Be Modern recommendations
c. Our Liability is limited to the free replacement of the parts affected

This Warranty does not affect your statutory rights.
