Be Modern Enters a New Era – We Are Now Employee Owned

We’re proud to share a major milestone in the history of Be Modern Ltd and Be Modern Holdings Ltd. As of today, we have officially transitioned to an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT) — placing the future of our business in the hands of the people who help shape it every day.

This move reflects a belief that has guided Be Modern for decades: our strength comes from our people. Becoming employee owned protects our culture, values, and independence for the long term.

 

🌟 Honouring the Wishes of Our Founder

Our founder, Walter Bloodworth, always believed that Be Modern should ultimately belong to the people who helped build it. During his lifetime, he expressed a clear wish for the company to remain independent, protected, and guided by its workforce.

Transitioning to an Employee Ownership Trust is the most authentic way to honour those wishes, and our shareholders are proud to carry forward the values he set in motion.

In 2024, we reached another remarkable milestone — our 60th anniversary. We celebrated this achievement in true Be Modern style with a company-wide celebration party, bringing together our entire team along with members of Walter’s family.

It was a moment to reflect on six decades of craftsmanship, innovation, and shared success, while also recognising the people who have shaped our journey. That celebration now feels even more meaningful as we step confidently into our next chapter as an employee-owned business.
