Warranty T&Cs

1 YEAR ELECTRIC FIRE WARRANTY

Our IQFX Fire comes with a 1 Year warranty as standard, providing you with reassurance and peace of mind. This covers parts and labour.

Note: Registration is not required for the standard 1 year warranty. If you do not have access to the internet you may register your product via the below contact telephone number.

  1. The Guarantee applies to:
    1. All products in the ranges manufactured by the ‘Company’ (but subject to the exceptions below): where:
    2. The product has been purchased and installed within the UK and in respect of
    3. The initial installation: and in favor of
    4. The original purchaser
  2. Proof of Purchase must be retained by the Purchaser
  3. The Guarantee does not apply to:
    1. Damage or inferior workmanship practices whilst the ‘Product’ is being installed
    2. Damage caused by mis-use of the ‘Product’ or where normal standards of care and use have not been complied with.
    3. Damage through a malfunction or an inadequately installed electric fire.
    4. Damage or defects due to mis-use, accident or unauthorised alterations.
  4. During the guarantee period after theProduct’ has been supplied, the Guarantee covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the Company’s option) of defects arising from defective manufacture of materials of “Product” covered in Para 1 all at no cost to the purchaser on the provision:
    1. The Product has been installed as per Be Modern recommendations. The Purchaser uninstalls the Product and makes it available for collection
      by Be Modern.

 

This Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights

 

On requiring service the purchaser should contact the retailer who supplied your product who will assist and advise you as necessary.

 


1 YEAR FIREPLACE WARRANTY

Be Modern (‘the Company’) provides a 1 year warranty in respect of the surround/fireplace (‘the Product’) ranges subject to the following terms and conditions.

In the event of service being required, the purchaser should initially contact the retailer/installer who supplied the product and they will assist and advise you further as necessary.

  1. The 1 year warranty applies to all Products in the ranges manufactured by the Company where:

(i) The Product has been purchased and installed within the UK

(ii) It relates to the initial installation as carried out for the original purchaser

This Guarantee is non-transferable

  • Proof of Purchase must be retained by the Purchaser for the period of the Warranty.
  • A full and detailed inspection must have been carried out on all component parts by the installer and/or the end user prior to the start of installation, to ensure there was no damage or manufacturing defects.

 

The 1 year warranty does not apply to:

  • Any damages caused to the Product as a direct result of incompetent installation
  • Damage caused by misuse of the Product or where normal standards of care and use have not been complied with
  • Damage or defects due to misuse, accident or unauthorised alterations
  • Damaged or broken component parts reported after installation
  • Any other obvious defects reported after installation

LED bulbs

During the 1 year period following Product purchase, the Warranty covers the making good (whether by repair or replacement at the Company’s discretion) of the Product only for claims arising from defective manufacture and/or materials of the “Product” covered in Point 1, on the proviso that:

The Product has been fully inspected prior to installation

The Product has been installed as per Be Modern recommendations

Our Liability is limited to the free replacement of the parts affected

 

This Guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.

2 Year Limited Warranty

2 years extended warranty is obtained by registering your product free, within 28 days of purchase at: https://www.bemodern.com/diamondfireplaces/support/warranty/

After registration you will receive cover for parts only in year 2 & 3.

Be Modern Ltd warrants this product against manufacturing defects which affect the performance of the product. This warranty is non transferable and is valid from the date of purchase or the product. It is important that you retain the receipt of purchase or invoice as proof of date of purchase. This extended warranty excludes any refractory ceramics (i.e. fuel pieces or ceramic lining), batteries, bulbs or consumable items within the appliance. This warranty does not cover replacement glass panels which have been stained due to running an appliance where flame has contacted the glass caused by poor ceramic setup. This warranty provides for parts and labour to repair or replace (at the discretion of Be Modern Ltd) any faulty component(s) for the first year from the date of purchase. This warranty provides for parts to repair or replace (at the discretion of Be Modern Ltd) any faulty component(s) for the 2nd & 3rd years from the date of purchase.

Terms and Conditions.

  1. The appliance must be installed in a residential property and used in accordance with the operating instructions supplied with the product.
  2. The registration form below must have been completed and returned to Be Modern Ltd within 28 days of original purchase date.
  3. The appliance must be maintained in a reasonable manner by ensuring that the product is kept clean and free from debris, dust, or lint. Problems arising from dust ingress are not covered by this warranty. It is the user’s responsibility to ensure that ceramic components are laid correctly, any adverse effect caused by poor ceramic setup will not be covered under this warranty.
  4. This is the only warranty provided by Be Modern Ltd and no other warranty or extensions to warranty however implied shall be valid.
  5. Be Modern Ltd will not be held responsible for any installation, labour or transportation costs arising from a defective part or parts or any incidental, indirect or consequential damage caused, except as provided by law.

This warranty is void it the product:
a: is exposed to any corrosive conditions whether direct or indirect
b: is exposed to long periods of damp or condensation

  1. This warranty does not cover any replaceable items such as ceramic components, batteries, bulbs etc.
  2. This warranty does not cover any polished trim surfaces where discoloration has occurred due to spillage of products.
  3. The appliance must not have been subject to misuse or accident or been modified or repaired in any way by any person(s) other than an engineer authorised by Be Modern Ltd.
